Ankle Sprains & Agility
Let's Build Resilient Ankles!
This one is for my "I sprained my ankle again by tripping over air" pals.
We can't change the structure of your ligaments and how loose they are. What we can change is your proprioception and coordination to help your ankles learn how to react to external forces with less of a twist.
First, we need to learn ankle strength and prep the nervous system. The first 6 weeks of this program are dedicated to just this! We will work on ankle, knee, and hip strength that are needed before starting any footwork practice.
Once we've got this down, we will start with gentle agility drills. This will work on your ability to move your feet in different directions with strength and stability. The last 6 weeks of the program will combine both strength and agility drills.
This program includes:

This program is for you if you:
-Roll your ankles more often than you'd like to admit
-When you roll your ankles, it hurts for a few days but you eventually bounce back. It just keeps happening, and you want to be able to just go for a hike without falling on your face.
-Want to build hip, knee, and ankle stability so you can be more confident with your movement.
This program is NOT for you if:
-You have a current, severe ankle sprain
-Are not willing to dedicate to the program in it's entirety. (Life happens and I can reset your program if needed, but every week is programmed in a way where it is expected you complete the week prior to reduce risk of injury.)

-Agility ladder
-Resistance bands
-Small variety of weights (5-20 pounds)
-Kinesio Tape
