Kaitlin is a Satellite Beach native who opened New Wave Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation in 2018. Kaitlin graduated from Satellite High School, where she was a 4-time varsity letter recipient in cross-country, swimming and track. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Florida on a cross country & track scholarship and earned multiple SEC Championship team titles in cross country and indoor/outdoor track. After graduating with a Bachelors in Exercise Physiology, she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy also at UF. While in PT school, Kaitlin raced triathlons professionally and eventually qualified for the US National Team, and competed in 2 Olympic Trials events. In 2018, she stepped away from professional racing to move home with her husband Ed, and dog, Roxy, to open an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic to serve the athletes and active population of Brevard County. Since opening, Kaitlin has also coached several Space Coast Runners running camps to help runners reach their goals in a positive and motivating group environment, as well as numerous triathletes and runners for international events. In 2023, she ran her first marathon in 2:36.31 qualifying her for the 2024 US Olympic Marathon Trials. She now also has the best assistants in her 4 year old son, Chris and 1 year old son, Mikey. In February of 2024, Kaitlin broke the Guiness Book of World Records for the fastest mile while pushing a stroller when she ran a 5:11 with her son Mikey in the stroller!
