The Struggle Club
The Struggle Club is a remote training program and social space for individuals seeking multimodal training that evolves over time. Delivered weekly, Struggle Club workouts will weave together strength training, conditioning, mobility, and overall athleticism for those who want a well-rounded approach to fitness.
Many training programs either specialize in one area or claim to train all areas via interval and circuit training. The Struggle Club integrates multiple modalities and training philosophies without sacrificing their integrity.
Expect to work with various intensities like load, slower and faster tempos, low and high volume and rep schemes to create adaptations by any means necessary; explore an intelligently curated exercise selection that prioritizes ribcage and pelvis control (aka “the core”/trunk) to reduce recurring nagging pains; rediscover movement options that are not based in fear of certain positions (e.g. spinal flexion, extension, and rotation); develop athletic qualities through plyometrics, cardio, and power-producing movements; access full range of motion; follow programming that has both consistency and variation without becoming either boringly redundant nor ineffectively varying; receive trauma-informed coaching, form checks, and unlimited Q&A; share your struggles, celebrate your progress, and chat with like-minded fellow athletes via the community message board.
The Struggle Club is for those who wish to train effectively and have access to equipment, but need guidance, structure, and support. Any skill level is welcome, though athletes with highly individualized needs may prefer 1-on-1 training. This is not a specialized bodybuilding or powerlifting program, but bodybuilders, powerlifters, and athletes of all kinds may benefit greatly by training the gaps left unfilled by your sport. If you find gyms difficult or distressing to navigate, you may find remote support appealing as you venture into uncomfortable territory.
