I am a busy working mom of two very busy athletic kids, a gymnast age 11 and a football player age 16, They truly keep me busy and on my toes. My love of health and fitness started in my 20s. I wanted to be a fitness coach but unfortunately when i graduated college, being a fitness coach was not an ideal career choice to pay the bills so I began my career in law. Despite my career choice, I still read all the fitness magazines, bought all the fitness program DVDs that came out, attended all the aerobics classes, ate super low calories, did endless hours on the treadmill and ran away from strength training so I wouldn’t look like a man. LOL. I was also that woman that wouldn’t eat at gatherings or would turn down events to avoid the temptations. Unfortunately this restrictive lifestyle led to an eating disorder that lasted 5 years. I was unable to conceive my first child because i was so under weight and malnourished. I thought this was my wake up call but after i conceived my son, i went right back to my old habits for another 2 years. It was not until my mid 30s that I started to realize that continuing this restrictive lifestyle could not be it for me. This couldn’t be how i was to live out my entire life. Running away from food and hiding from invitations. That is when i started to learn how to start working with my body not constantly fighting it with crazy fad diets, quick fixes and a restrictive lifestyle. In 2020, I became a Nutrition coach to help other woman avoid living such a restrictive or yo-yo lifestyle and finally be free to work with their body and achieve happiness and love for their body.
